The practical stuff - what sessions actually look like, and answers to the questions people usually ask before booking.
Your first step: a free chat
A free 20-minute call - by phone or video, no commitment. It's a chance to ask questions and see if I'm the right fit.
Ongoing sessions
Sessions run 50 minutes, usually weekly, at the same day and time, online via Zoom. We'll agree together how long we work - some stay a few months, others longer.
Cancellations
Life happens - please give at least 24 hours' notice where possible. Sessions cancelled with less notice are charged in full, except in genuine emergencies.
Confidentiality
What you share stays between us, in line with BACP ethical guidelines - except where I believe you or someone else is at serious risk, which I'd always aim to discuss with you first.
A few more questions
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I hold a small number of reduced-fee spaces for people who'd otherwise struggle to access support - just ask during your free chat.
Do you work with couples?
Not currently - my work is one-to-one. Happy to suggest where to look for couples counselling instead.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Message or email as early as you can - see the cancellation policy above for notice.
Is this covered by insurance?
Some private insurers cover counselling - worth checking with your provider. I can provide receipts for claims.
